Ander Mikalson is an artist working in performance, sound and installation in New York City. Her solo projects include Tensta Konsthal in Stockholm, Sweden, Temple Contemporary in Philadelphia, PA and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Portland, ME. She has shown her work in recent group exhibitions at the Queens Museum of Art, Flux Factory and the Crocker Art Museum. Her recent awards include the Art Matters Foundation grant, the College Art Association Professional-Development Fellowship in the Visual Arts, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Graduate Fellowship and a Mildred’s Lane Sponsored Fellowship. She earned an MFA in Painting + Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
