Sell Your Work Through Project1: Deadline 11/10
Published on October 27, 2015
Customers walk into Project1 on the corner of Broad and Staples Mill on a regular basis, asking where they can buy the work of VCUarts students. Until now there hasn’t been a clean answer. For that reason, Project 1 is providing space to show and sell the work of current students and alumni that is appropriate for interiors. This includes (but is not limited to) weavings, textiles, photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, furniture, lighting, ceramics…If you can imagine it in a home, it’s fair game.
To submit your work via a super easy form by the 11/10 deadline, please go here.
Students get 70% of the sale price, with 30% going into a student fund here at VCUarts. Project1 wants to make their customers (and VCUarts students) happy. For that reason, they are not taking any of the proceeds.
If you want to know more, Project1 is a home design store on the corner of Broad and Staples Mill. It used to be a shady old pool hall (I know that only because I actually used to go play pool there) but is now a bright, inspiring place for people to go and buy furnishings for their homes. Trust me. Project1 isn’t your classic antiques mall…it’s focus is on the younger client who is interested in really interesting one-of-a-kind pieces with a focus on the modern. It’s kinda hip, and I know student work will fit right in.
