Student Opportunities at the VMFA

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to offer the following spring/summer opportunities for students:
Tag: Label Writing Contest     DEADLINE MAR 15
In place of the Insights Symposium, VMFA is hosting a label writing contest for undergraduate and graduates.  Students are invited to write a wall label about a work on view in the VMFA permanent collection. Ten finalists will be selected to read and discuss their label at a live event on April 19th. The winning label will be installed in the VMFA galleries and the student will receive $100 (thanks to a gift of an anonymous donor). To enter and for more information, please visit:

College Mentors     DEADLINE MAR 15
VMFA is looking for undergraduates in their junior or senior year, or graduate students to serve as College Mentors to teen participants in the Museum Leaders in Training Program (M.Lit).  This is a yearlong commitment and considered an internship.
