Taking place in the Anderson and the 1st Floor Gallery of the Fine Arts Building (FAB):

Anderson : 907 1/2 W. Franklin St.
Hours: Tuesday – Friday 12-7 PM & Saturday – Sunday 12-5 PM

FAB Gallery : 1000 W. Broad St. First Floor
Hours: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 6 PM (must have access card for evening and weekend entry)

For the rest of October, the VCU Sculpture Grads creating an evolving and fluctuating space, a living exhibition / activation of the Anderson and the FAB Gallery. The FAB Gallery will host a series of residencies by local community based organizations, giving over the space to these groups to use the space in any way they choose. The Anderson will be activated inside several galleries and outside in the front courtyard. Outside is a flexible multi-purpose space becoming home to a pop-up library, performance nights, “Practice + Process” mini series, workshops, and more. Inside the Anderson several first floor galleries and a third floor gallery will hold group and solo exhibitions, performances, and events.

Schedule of Events – Week 3 :

Monday Oct 23 @ FAB Gallery (first floor) 6-8 PM : Panel on Decolonization
This panel will be centered around topics of decolonization featuring VCU’s Massa Lemu alongside Dr. Tiffany E. Barber and Luca Suede. The panel will be live streamed.

Friday Oct 27th @ Anderson Outside and First and Third Floor Galleries

5 – 7 PM : Closing Party !!

5 – 7 PM : Practice and Process Soap Making Workshop with Azim Al Ghussein
Come get your hands clean at this week’s Practice and Process. Participants will get to make their own hand made soap and hear more about Azim’s dynamic practice encompassing performance, social exchange, hosting, and of course soap.

6 – 9 PM : Bacon Friday Curated by Lupe Maravilla
Bacon Thursday is back !! This time on a Friday. Come out for Bacon Friday!!

6 – 9 PM : Get it for Cheap Show and Art Sale
Come get fresh art for cheap! Proceeds go to community organizations doing work on the ground in Puerto Rico.
