February 15-23, 2019
Opening: Friday, February 15 6pm-9pm
Featuring artworks from VCUarts undergraduates Sophie Haulman, John Huggins, Maxwell Motmans, and Odile Postic and curated by other VCUarts undergrads, fēkit (the Latin word for “make” or “create”) is an art exhibition intended to break down hierarchies and feelings of intellectual superiority between artists, curators, and viewers. Performances and workshops based around the individual artists’ practices will be held opening night and in a smaller, more informal format throughout the exhibition. fēkit was curated by Eleazar Carreon, Elena Gavrilović, Gabrielle Pena, and Elise Ryder.
