SHORTS MÉXICO is a festival that supports the creative expressions of both emerging and established filmmakers. Each year, the festival showcases more than 1,000 short films in a hybrid format, featuring in-person, virtual, and televised screenings, reaching an audience of over one million viewers.
The festival features Mexican Competitions in the following categories: Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Neomex, Short Film Pitching Competition, Work In Progress, and Short Film Screenwriting. It also includes International and Ibero-American Competitions in Fiction, Animation, and Documentary. To foster high-quality creation, professionalization, and film production, the festival awards include incentives valued at over two million Mexican pesos in filming services.
