Visiting Artist: 2017 Eyeworks Festival of Experimental Animation
Grace Street Theater
934 W Grace St
Lecture: Nov. 30th, 2017, 6pm
The Department of Kinetic Imaging is hosting Eyeworks Festival of Experimental Animation, an invitational festival focusing on abstract animation and unconventional character animation. Festival programs showcase outstanding experimental animation of all sorts, and include classic films and new works.
Eyeworks concentrates on works made by individual artists, drawing on the lineage of avant-garde cinema as well as the tradition of classic character animation and cartooning. The aim of Eyeworks is to present works that engage the enormous potential inherent in the art form of animation.
This is Kinetic Imaging’s 3rd time hosting Eyeworks. Like previous Festival screenings, there are two unique programs, one beginning at 6 pm and the second at 8 pm. A brief intermission will take place in between for those wishing to attend both programs.
