Spencer Neale is a filmmaker and performance artist living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His current project, Bury Me By the Sea, is a 16mm silent film edited in-camera that captures the sacramental burying of a 1977 Datsun B210 as it travels from New Mexico to the Pacific Ocean. His film and video works are experientially based and explore dying cities, passing landscapes, spontaneous narratives and social subversion. His ambient and electronic music has been released on Featherspines Tape and Holy Page records respectively. He is a current contributor at Sun Mountain School of Contemplative Arts as well as an archivist at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe.
