Richmond City Council Recognition

VCUarts just got a big thumbs up from the city of Richmond. Earlier this month, City Council gave VCUarts an “official recognition” for its efforts in the construction of the VCU Institute for Contemporary Art, the multidisciplinary arts center planned for the corner of Broad and Belvidere streets, scheduled to open in 2015. This recognition says the ICA is poised to be a “tremendous community asset” and an aid in the “continued beautification of Richmond’s downtown landscape.” We think so, too. Thanks City Council!
