Please join VCU Music for a World Drumming Workshop with internationally recognized exemplar music educator Paul Bakeman! Paul Bakeman has studied in Hawaii and Ghana and is a national board certified music educator and Orff Master.
In this two-day workshop, students will explore hand drumming from 3 perspectives: West African styles, the community in drum circles, and drumming with elementary-aged students. The workshop is $150.00 for two days of work over July12th and 13th, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Come prepared to play, learn, teach, and laugh in the spirit of music and community!
A total of 10 recertification points are available for this workshop.
