Stop by for an exciting one day music festival celebrating global music, talent, and diversity at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, March 1st starting at 9:30AM and running until 7:00PM! This event is free and open to the public.
Schedule of Events:
- 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Presentation sessions on the underrepresented composers by VCUarts Music Faculty and the Richmond Community Teachers
Led by: Dr. Sonia Vlahcevic, Dr. Magdalena Adamek, Ruta Smedina-Starke, Gabriella Ryan, and Marina Andueza - 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Workshop by Featured Artists: The Rosette String Quartet – Explore the works of an iconic American composer with this renowned Richmond based string quartet guest ensemble.
- 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM: Recitals featuring VCU music Students and RMTA K-12 Students
- 5:00 PM: A recital showcasing VCU Department of Music Faculty Members and RMTA Teachers.
