Research often begins with the same question “What if?”
Asta Roseway takes you on a journey as she explores her role as a Fusionist who has created projects such as talking plants, interactive tattoos, living architecture, and ecological sensing. Each of these experimentations are collaborative models designed to generate a vision of a more positive and inclusive future.
In her talk, she also discusses her latest challenges, attempting to merge researchers, engineers, chemists, and government policy makers together to try to study and solve some of the problems we all face with urban air pollution and climate change in general.
Because like her, each of one of us is called to actively engage to shape our collective future.
This lecture will be moderated by Rab McClure, MFA Director.
Asta Roseway works as Principal Research Designer in the Urban Innovation Initiative at Microsoft Research but refers to herself as a “fusionist,” or someone who works between disciplines and fields, using design.
