Emily received her MFA from the Department of Craft/Material Studies in 2019 with a focus in glass. Originally from Madison, WI, she received her BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, in 2016. Emily has a background in dance and yoga, and loves to play with hula hoops. Her work investigates a deeper understanding of the world that we live in and how our perception of that world defines our reality. She is inspired by symmetries and mathematical proportions that are found throughout the physical world. Her intention is to create a moment of -interconnected-ness where the viewer recognizes these patterns as a framework that provides the structure for how we experience everyday life.
