Cynthia Myron received her BFA in Sculpture from Marywood University and her MFA in Craft/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to becoming in the Assistant Chair in Craft and Material Studies, she was the Administrative Director in Department of Art History at VCUarts for over a decade. Cynthia has been a Resident Studio Artist at Marywood University, The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design and Artist Residency Chattanooga. In 2007, she received her second Individual Creative Artist Fellowship in Craft from The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Her work, which deals with notions of privilege, class, and material consumption, has been exhibited at venues including the Indianapolis Art Center, Taubman Museum of Art, Bowling Green State University, Chelsea Center for the Arts, Facere Art Gallery, the Florida International Museum, and The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts.
