Cindy Myron received her BFA in Sculpture from Marywood University and in 2002 earned her MFA in Craft/Material Studies Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to becoming in the Assistant Chair in Craft and Material Studies, she was the Administrative Director in Department of Art History at VCUarts for over a decade. Cindy has been a Resident Studio Artist at Marywood University and will complete additional artist residencies at The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design and Artist Residency Chattanooga this year. In 2007, she received her second Individual Creative Artist Fellowship from The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Her work, which deals with notions of privilege, class, and material consumption, has been exhibited at venues including The Taubman Museum of Art, Bowling Green State University, Rowan University, Chelsea Center for the Arts, Facere Art Gallery, the Florida International Museum, and The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts.
