William Lenard grew up in rural Connecticut, surrounded by the woods. He creates objects and writes poetry to foster his sentiment for natural landscapes. William combines his interests of Americana art and literature with brutalist architecture to construct sculptural installations. His works are primarily made of concrete and hardwood to materially bridge the unnatural with the natural.

William received his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Furniture Design and his MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Craft and Material Studies.
