Nia Burks would like to talk to you about how loving yourself is the most fantastic act of defiance. She believes that art is a journey, that dust tells us everything we need to know about life, and that a community who exists in service to greatness will yield amazing things. Her work investigates human attempts at the regimentation of time and dismantling the perceived infallibility of objects. Movement and video are her primary mediums.
