M. Albertson

M. Albertson was born and raised in a matriarchal Italian working-class family from South Philadelphia. They received their BFA from Moore College of Art and their MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Currently, they reside in Richmond’s Northside neighborhood with their partner and 3 cats affectionately referred to as The Ladies. M’s studio practice spans multiple mediums including photography, video, sculpture and installation and they use this to explore how abject emotional spaces are facilitated through physicality.
