Kent E. Case is an academic advisor for Arts & Art Foundation. Kent earned his bachelors in Theatre & Communications from the University of the Cumberlands and his Masters in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Kent’s one claim to fame is that he was an extra during the World Series scenes in the movie, A League of Their Own. Kent collects vinyl records and loves to attend live concert performances at the National, Brown’s Island, and other great RVA spots.

Kent’s background is in theatre where he performed in The Nerd, The Lion in Winter, and an original stage combat performance. He was also the shop foreman for his college theatre department where he had to take plans from the director (often written on napkins and scrap sheets of paper) and then build the sets.

In his previous advising capacity, Kent advised undeclared students. In this role he gained lots of experience with many students with diverse concerns. As advisor to first year students in the School of the Arts, he enjoys supporting students in navigating the transition into VCU and making progress toward their major declaration.
