Evie Metz is an arts educator and interdisciplinary artist specializing in sculpture, photography, and puppet stop-motion animation. Her work explores the relationship between humans, animals, and nature. She was selected as a Trawick Prize Finalist in 2022, and has recently shown in both solo and group exhibitions including Rhizome in Washington DC in 2021 and NoBudge at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, NY in 2022. Her short films screen nationally and internationally, such as the Maryland Film Fest, Chicago International Film Festival, and Glasgow Short Film Festival. She has her Bachelors in Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Masters in Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University.
