Evie Metz is a multimedia artist and educator. Mixing animation, photography, sound, and performance, her work pushes boundaries of spiritual strength and the limited nature of our humanness with the intention for us to transcend it. Dramatized through material, her animated worlds deal with intuition and instinct, human nature, eroticism, and our relationship to the animal and natural world.

She holds a Masters of Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University in Photography + Film and a Bachelor in Fine Art in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has recently been shown as a solo exhibition at Rhizome DC in 2021 and at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, NY in 2022. Additionally, her films have premiered throughout various film festivals most recently including the Maryland Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival.
