Curt Blankenship is the concert hall and facilities manager for Music. He manages the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall and the facilities for the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, as well as the James W. Black Music Center. His recordings of VCUarts Music concerts can be heard from time to time on NPR’s “Performance Today.” The faculty, staff and students of VCU Music look to Blankenship for support regarding their many performances, class scheduling and special concert and event logistics. Prior to working for VCU, Blankenship served the greater Richmond community as a production manager at Backstage Inc., with Fred and Joan Brumbach, the late Joe Bristow and Cameron Grainger. He also toured nationally with Barksdale Theatre’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Blankenship earned his BFA in theatre from VCUarts.
