The Department of Craft/Material Studies is pleased to present “Vitamin C”, an exhibition highlighting the combination of wood, fiber, and ceramic in work from undergraduate students Kristen Wheatley, Eileen Morley, and Mia Donalson.
“We reach for these materials because they are familiar and help us actualize objects. We are answering the question “What needs can each fill?” Our work addresses childhood and the need to touch, remember, look, and be seen. We satisfy this by using the established connotations of our materials to create new significance.”
An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 6-8pm in the DePillars Gallery, 1000 West Broad St, Richmond, VA.
