Visiting Artist: Julia Haft-Candell

Join us for a Visiting Artist lecture with Los Angeles-based artist Julia Haft-Candell. Haft-Candell’s sculptures are inspired by physical form, both functional and decorative, creating “permanent monuments for the casual and insignificant.” Her work has been included in numerous exhibition venues including the Craft and Folk Art Museum, Grand Central Art Center at California State University – Fullerton, Iko Iko in West Hollywood, Franklin Parrasch Gallery in New York, NY, and the Vincent Price Art Museum in Monterey Park, CA. She received an MFA from California State University – Long Beach, a BA in Art and International Relations from the University of California – Davis, and was a summer resident at Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture.
