VCUarts faculty member and cinema program featured in Backstage

Anne Chapman, adjunct instructor and resident casting director for the cinema program at VCUarts, was recently interviewed by Backstage about the program and her role at the university. VCUarts Cinema is an undergraduate film program that encompasses all aspects of filmmaking, from film theory to production, to prepare students to enter the film industry immediately upon graduation. In the article, Chapman shares what attracted her to VCUarts, what makes its cinema program distinctive and how student films provide the perfect training ground for future filmmakers. In addition, she explains how receiving the unique opportunity to work with a professional casting director and experienced actors provides VCUarts film students with an even more in-depth and well-rounded film education.
