September 20 – October 11, 2024
Reception: September 20, 5-7 pm
The Anderson at VCUarts is proud to present Con Pasión y Alma (or With Passion and Soul) which will be on view from September 20th to October 11th in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This dynamic showcase is dedicated to uplifting and promoting the artistic voices of Hispanic and Latinx student artists within the Virginia Commonwealth University community, transcending academic disciplines to bring together a vibrant collection of works.
In partnership with the Latinx Student Association, Con Pasión y Alma highlights the depth, diversity, and creative passion of Hispanic and Latinx artists at VCU. From visual art and graphic design to photography and mixed media, the exhibition presents a rich tapestry of expressions that speak to the cultural, social, and personal narratives shaping the artists’ identities.
This exhibition is not only a platform for sharing art but also an invitation to engage in meaningful dialogue about the experiences, challenges, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities.
Join us in recognizing and supporting the remarkable talent of our fellow students and experience the power of art to connect, inspire, and amplify voices. Con Pasión y Alma is a celebration of culture, community, and the enduring spirit of creativity.
