StyleWeekly speaks with VCUarts professor Rex Richardson ahead of his performance with the Richmond Symphony

This Saturday, Rex Richardson, trumpeter and professor of trumpet and jazz studies at VCUarts, will perform as a soloist alongside the Richmond Symphony’s pop concert series. The performance will be conducted by Daniel Myssyk, the assistant conductor of the Richmond Symphony and a professor of Music at VCUarts. In addition, the concert will feature a performance by celebrated VCUarts jazz alumnus Steve Wilson (saxophone) and a new concerto composed by fellow alumnus Trey Pollard.
