Student Spotlight Stories: Jacie Dannhardt

Categories

When Jacie Dannhardt first joined Communication Arts, she was unsure of what she wanted to do. She was able to find her purpose with the assistance of faculty and the department’s tools. Now she works on developing her skills in 3D modeling and scientific illustration. She appreciates the department’s determination in pushing students to interact with those outside of the art program, which assists students in transitioning into the real world. Her plans after graduation include: continuing to develop her portfolio, and applying to graduate school for medical illustration. Jacie’s words of wisdom are: “Try new things and don’t be afraid of stepping outside of your comfort zone. Science is really cool, and knowing the function of things before you draw them is important”.
