Abigail Giuseppi chose the Comm Arts program because of the range of avenues that are industry focused. The program has provided her with opportunities to connect with individuals within and outside of the program that may lead to future careers. Abigail appreciates the department for allowing students to not feel trapped in the program, but instead be able to pursue diverse topics such as editorial illustration and fine arts all under one umbrella. Originally coming into the program, Abigail was unsure of what she wanted to study but now has developed a clear path thanks to the community at VCUarts. After completing her studies, Abigail plans to pursue editorial work, reaching out to publications and galleries. Her words of wisdom are to “ask questions and talk with your professors.”
