Soovin Jhi was always interested in illustration, graphic design, and animation, so she was happy to see that VCUarts covered all of these subjects. While she is an abroad study student already, the school has provided her with opportunities to continue her studies in new locations like Italy with VCU Professor Stephen Alcorn. She appreciates the diverse student body, and loves connecting and collaborating with other students she can trust. Since her entrance into the program, she has grown out of old habits and learned to try new art styles. After completing her studies, Soovin plans to travel to other states, explore new art scenes, and get a studio to work on personal projects. As an abroad student who enjoys traveling, her words of wisdom are “just go for it, don’t wait. Do it while you can.”
