2021 Space Grants—Summer Studios Program at the Anderson
The Anderson is pleased to announce the return of Space Grants – the Anderson’s summer studio program.* Current VCUarts students, full-time and adjunct faculty, and alumni are eligible to apply. Selected participants will receive free 24hr access to studio space at the Anderson from June 16—August 13, 2021.** Space is limited and studios may be individual or shared based on need and at the discretion of Anderson staff.
Timeline is as follows:
4/14 – Application period opens
**5/3 – Application period closes (extended from 4/28!!)
5/10 – Selected artists announced
6/16 – Space access begins
8/13 – Space access ends (Participants must be completely moved out by 5:00PM – all personal belongings removed from the Anderson and studio space restored to the condition in which it was received)
*The program does not include any travel or financial support. Participants are responsible for any/all costs associated with use of and travel to the space.
**24 hour access is via swipe card and is dependent on program participants having a current VCUid.
