Cinema has gone through some big transformations in the past few years. One of the most wonderful aspects, has been an introduction to new faculty members and industry professionals Emily Wyman and Kyra Kilfeather.
Emily Wyman has worked in the Virginia Film Office helping to secure locations for major motion pictures shot here in Richmond, and currently does location work freelance. With her expertise, our students are learning the ins and outs of securing locations for their projects.
One of our very own cinema alums, Kyra Kilfeather, has joined the faculty as an adjunct professor. Kyra is a camera assistant based out of Richmond who has worked on over 20 major motion pictures within the camera department. They’re happy to be back sharing teaching our students about all the technical elements of camera and cinematography.
