Community News from Craft/Material Studies: September 2021

Current MFA student Sarah Parker completed a Summer Residency with the Baltimore Jewelry Center. This residency culminated with an artist talk in the space on September 10th.

Corey Pemberton (BFA, ’12) had a solo show, home/body, open at UNREPD/PopUp Home in Los Angeles. In conjunction with the exhibition’s opening, Pemberton was interviewed by LA Weekly.

Associate Professor Elissa Armstrong was interviewed by Art & Education for their series, Office Hours.

Gabriel Craig (MFA, ’08) was featured in The Queue, an interview feature associated with artists featured in American Craft Magazine.

Ethical Metalsmith Students announced the winners of their 2021 So Fresh + So Clean Exhibition. The exhibition featured current MFA student Sarah Parker as 2021 Project Chair and Lead Juror along with professor Susie Ganch as a Guest Juror. Tyler Hurwitz (BFA, ’21) was awarded the EM Student’s Choice Award.
