VCUarts and The Anderson are pleased to announce the 2022 Excellence in Adjunct Research Exhibition, VCUarts and The Anderson are pleased to announce the 2022 Excellence in Adjunct Research Exhibition, aimed at recognizing excellence in creative research among current VCUarts adjunct faculty members. Through open application (see “Timeline and Process Overview” below), one adjunct faculty member will be selected for the annual Excellence in Adjunct Research Exhibition. The exhibition (or discipline-appropriate equivalent, including performance) includes $1000 of production support which can be used for the direct purchase of goods and services toward the realization of the exhibition. The exhibition is currently scheduled for The Anderson’s 1st floor Gallery A, August 23–September 24. A lecture and/or workshops may also be scheduled at the discretion of the selected faculty member.
Timeline and Process Overview:
4/18 Award Applications Open. Online application period opens. All current VCUarts adjunct faculty, serving in any VCUarts department are eligible to apply. Applications will be submitted via this Google Form.
4/24 Award Applications Close.
**APPLICATION EXTENSION: 5/2
5/6 Exhibition Recipient Announcement.
7/1 Production funds become available. The Anderson will conduct transactions at the exhibition recipient’s direction. Award funds cannot be distributed directly to recipient, except as reimbursement.
8/15 Begin exhibition install. The Anderson will provide staff support for installation.
8/23 Exhibition Opens. First day of classes.
8/26 Exhibition Reception. Friday, 5:00–8:00pm
9/23 Exhibition Concludes. Deinstall must be completed by EOD on 9/25
