12 VCUarts students and faculty members receive VCU’s Black History in the Making Award

Congratulations to this year’s recipients of Black History in the Making Awards. The VCU’s Department of African American Studies honors the incredible achievements of African American students and junior staff/faculty members. 

This year, 11 VCUarts graduate and undergraduate students and one junior faculty member have been selected to receive this award – Jazmine Beatty (Art Education); Leonie Brightly (Interior Design); Ty Campbell (Art Foundation); Nyasha Chigama (Craft/Material Studies); Nana Adwoa Nyamekye Ferdnance (Art History); Denise Folley (Theatre); Delil Mohammed (Graphic Design); LT Moon, PhD., (Interior Design); Zoe Pearson (Graphic Design); Brandi Pleasant (Theatre); Indigo Witt (Art History) and Wesley Taylor (assistant professor, Art Foundation).
