Shana Cave (BFA Minor ’20) was interviewed by British Vogue

Of Mud & Blood, a collaborative ceramic and tattoo exhibition opened at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond. The exhibition featured multiple alumni, including Merenda Cecelia, Claire McCarty, Christine Orr, Kathleen O’Connor, Angelique Scott, and Jeff Vick

Victoria Ahmadizadeh Melendez (MFA ’16) presented a solo exhibition, Fabricated Possibilities, at The Fleisher Art Memorial Gallery in Philadelphia. Melendez additionally showed in the group exhibition Re-formation at Heller Gallery in New York, NY

Current BFA student Shannon Harper Kane received the Undergraduate Juried Exhibition Distinction Award from the Anderson

Kiara Pelissier (MFA ’06) hosted a trunk show at Alma’s in Richmond in December

Current MFA student Mark Tan showed in COHORTS: alone — together, an international online exhibition sponsored by the MFA Art program at the University of Montana. Additionally Tan is showing at the 2022 Craft Biennial at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and is participating in Arrowmont’s short-term Pentaculum Residency

Alicia Dietz (MFA ’16) and Colin Knight (BFA ’20) showed in a furniture exhibition through Copeland Studio of Richmond

Professor Hillary Waters Fayle gave a virtual Featured Artist Talk, The Art of Leaf Embroidery, with the New York Botanical Gardens

Professor Bohyun Yoon participated in the Interlude Family Artist Residency in New York. Additionally Yoon is currently showing in New Glass Now up through March 6 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Renwick Gallery

Professor Scott Braun presented performances from The Decency Project at The Center for Art in Wood and Love Park/City Hall in Philadelphia, PA

Department Chair Cindy Myron opened her solo exhibition, Beneath the Surface, Behind the Horizon at Hope Horn Gallery at University of Scranton

Adjunct Professor Vivian Chiu was featured in Candela Gallery’s group show, (de)constructed in Richmond. Additionally Chiu is showing at Made In Virginia with the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, up in Virginia Beach through March 6
