As an art history minor, you will complete six courses, including two introductory survey courses that provide a general overview of visual art throughout time and around the world. After completing those survey courses, you will select the remaining four classes from an array of course offerings—some of which focus on a specific time period or place, while others are organized thematically to explore specific ideas, themes, or aspects of human life. You may select your remaining four courses from all art history courses open to non-majors (however only one history of film class (ARTH   270, ARTH   271,ARTH   370 or ARTH   374) can be counted toward the art history minor). At least three courses (9 credits) must be completed at the 300 level.

Students interested in a minor in art history may apply online here.
