Research Funding
VCUarts provides up to $30,000 annually to support research, creative/scholarly work and professional development. Proposals in the range of $500 to $1,000 are suggested in order to accommodate the demand.

VCUarts Faculty Award for Distinguished Adjunct
This award recognizes an outstanding member of the School of the Arts adjunct faculty who best represents the contribution of adjunct faculty to the mission of the School of the Arts. All persons who have taught on adjunct contracts during the year of recognition review are eligible for consideration.

Arts Research Institute (ARI)
The Arts Research Institute (ARI) provides adjuncts with 1) monthly research reminders; 2) one grants workshop per semester; and 3) grant consultation by appointment. Additionally, adjuncts are welcome to access the ARI grants/residency listings on the ARI website “Find Funding” button.

The Anderson
For the 2019-2020 academic year, the Anderson will present the first annual VCUarts Excellence in Adjunct Research Exhibition. The exhibition will function as a recognition of and showcase for the outstanding adjunct research being conducted here at VCUarts, and will provide a solo exhibition opportunity, performance or another relevant format to a VCUarts Adjunct Faculty member.

Arts Cross-Disciplinary Courses
Teach a course open to all VCUarts majors at the 300 or 400 level. Contact Christina Lindholm, associate dean for curriculum and assessment, at clindholm@vcu.edu for more information.

Commonwealth Society
Teach a short course, brown bag lecture or lead a field trip for the Commonwealth Society. Contact Angela Allen, director of the Commonwealth Society at amdallen@vcu.edu.

Summer Intensive
Teach a three-week summer course for high school art students. Contact Ursula Woolman, director of the VCUarts Summer Intensive at summerarts@vcu.edu.
