1978-1982: worked in design offices in the DC area. 1982-1987: taught graphic design and typography in Boston at the NE School of Art and Design and MassArt. 1987-1991: senior designer, then Managing Director of Ligature, Inc., an educational development house. 1991 co-founded DECODE, Inc., developing textbooks for educational publishers in el-high markets. 1994: moved the company to Seattle. 2007: established DECODE Books, publishing contemporary fine art photography monographs. 2004: co-founded Platform Gallery, a contemporary art gallery. Currently still partner at DECODE, and sole owner/director at Platform Gallery.
