Matt Malone

Malone works with another painter, Kurtis Ceppetelli, in a collaborative duo called “Duly Noted Painters.” Together, he and Kurtis paint large scale paintings with recycled latex house paint and charcoal on canvas. They have had exhibits and gallery shows at the Phillips Collection, Wonderbread Factory, Gallery O, Contemporaria, and many other locations. Duly Noted Painters have a show “Composite Allusions” at The District of Columbia Arts Center in Washington, DC opening January 9th, 2015 running through February 8th where they will be showcasing their latest paintings.

Malone worked as a museum assistant at The Phillips Collection and Utrecht Art Supply in Washington DC. His print “Billion $ Bill” was selected by Delegate Mark L. Keam to hang in the Virginia House of Delegates. He was part of the first ever show at the Library House Gallery in Grand Rapids OH titled “The DC 8.” His first solo show titled HOT PINK, runs during the month of December 2012 at Hillyer Art Space in Washington DC.  He lives in Washington DC in the Brookland Artspace Lofts, a mixed-use arts facility in Washington’s Brookland neighborhood.
