John Anderson Jr.

Following his initial art studies at Duke Ellington, School of the Arts in Washington, DC, John Anderson was accepted into the advance placement program at Virginia Commonwealth University. He majored in Communications Arts and Design. While earning his B.F.A., he also obtained a minor in Religious Studies, and on completion of his degree, moved to New York to continue his studies at Pratt Institute. After leaving Pratt, he began a career in illustration and graphic design. John has won numerous honors and awards from many art organizations. He has worked for The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post and National Geographic Magazine. John is also a portrait painter and a member of The Portrait Society of America.
