Since graduating from VCU, Janelle has been an artist in residence at Sculpture Space, Vermont Studio Center, Fine Arts Work Center, Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Skowhegan, Smack Mellon and is currently participating in LMCC’s Workspace program in NYC where she currently lives and works.
In addition to her individual practice, Janelle also collaborates with her sister Lisa as Las Hermanas Iglesias. In 2008-09 Las Hermanas were artists in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France, through LMCC’s Paris Residency Program. This winter they will be traveling to Tasmania to develop a new project at Six_A inc., an artist run initiative in North Hobart.
Most recently Janelle’s individual and collaborative work has been exhibited at the Jersey City Museum, Queens Museum, Wave Hill Sunroom Project Space, Socrates Sculpture Park and internationally at Galería Isabel Hurley in Malaga, Spain.
