Dan Currier

Currently, I’m a professor of Photographic Imaging with the Art Institute of Washington in D.C. Prior to teaching; I worked as a staff photojournalist and freelance photographer for the past 30 plus years. Some of my clients and staff positions include: The Richmond Times Dispatch in Richmond, Virginia, People Magazine, The Washington Post, Getty Images, Reuters, United Press International, Associated Press, The New York Times and numerous other publications. I have lived in Schenectady, New York; Anchorage, Alaska; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Northeast Louisiana; Richmond, Virginia; and now Alexandria Virginia.

I earned my Masters of Fine Arts-Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007 and my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University in May 2005.
