Byron Peck

G. Byron Peck lives in Washington, DC and has created over 80 murals and mosaics throughout the United States and abroad. He has created paintings for shows in New York and Washington, DC and taught classes at the Corcoran School of Art, the Smithsonian Museum, George Washington University and George Mason University. He has won five grant awards from the DC Arts and Humanities Commission (1987,’95, ’97,’98, ‘04), two Fellowships for Painting from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art (1977,’79) and was given the Mayor’s Art Award for Excellence in an Artistic Discipline (2000). Mural commissions have included the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the American Embassy in Santiago, Chile.
