Adam Welch

Adam Welch is an artist and critic living in Hightstown, New Jersey, a lecturer at Princeton University and acting director of Greenwich House Pottery in New York City. His writing has been published nationally and internationally. Adam maintains an active studio practice, involving technical, formal, intellectual, and conceptual approaches to art making. Adam has been showing in solo, invitational, juried, and group exhibitions, and conducting studio visits, lectures, and workshops. Most recently, Adam was on the Advisory Committee for Critical: Santa Fe, a conference on Criticism where he moderated a panel on Judgment. Additionally, he delivered the keynote address at a conference “The Role of the Figure in Contemporary Ceramics” at the University of Kentucky and wrote the catalogue essay for the exhibition “Figuration to Fragmentation.”
