So…you’ve possibly heard about 1708 Gallery’s summer project called 10×10. It’s frankly brilliant (and a little bit like the Space Grants at the Depot Gallery, which is still open for proposals). Anyhow, Community Room is doing an exhibition at 1708 through the 10×10 project. I think they’re so tremendous because they focus on live art, so
I’m actually a little bit on the shy side…for me as an undergraduate I found graduate students intimidating. Cat’s out of the bag. However, I know most of you don’t feel that way. But if you do, there’s certainly value in pushing your comfort zone and putting yourself out there. I can say from experience
My colleague, Herb Hill has sent this opportunity below. I hope it’s of interest, I know many of you across disciplines are doing research not only through the grant programs we already have here on campus but independently as well. This is a great venue for you to share it. Organized by the Undergraduate Research Opportunities
I love this time of year! University grant season for Summer 2015 research. Arts students have been tremendously successful with some of these grants in the past, particularly the last one (the UROP Fellowship) and I see no changes to that in the immediate future! In addition to the UROP Fellowship and our fellowships funded
If you haven’t seen the current show, Making Sense, at the Depot Gallery, please do! It’s really lovely and something that we should be really proud of. You undergraduates are pretty stellar (as we know). I’m really excited about this next call. This is a very hot conversation happening in Richmond right now, and it
We KNOW! It’s short notice, but it’s worth it! The call for art, ideas, events and performances is below, and proposals for work will be accepted. I mean, there’s lots of potential here. Fleeting work…it’s pretty great once you start mulling it over. Questions? Ready to submit? Email Andrea Alvarez, Director of the Depot Gallery at
