About Jody
My name is Jody Symula. I am the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs here at VCUarts. What does that mean? What does the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs do? Essentially I’m here to help you, advocate for you, and help create new (and streamline current) processes to help guarantee you have a great experience at VCUarts, as well as a smooth transition to the world of work. I am also a source of information about University policies, advising questions as well as opportunities.
I have earned an Associate in Science in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, a Bachelor of Art with a concentration in Painting from Humboldt State University, and a Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting & Printmaking from VCUarts.
