Summer Programs

High School Summer Intensive

VCU Summer Intensive is an action-packed residency program for high school students offering exciting fine arts, design arts and performing arts instruction. The 2013 Summer Intensive will be held from July 14th – August 2nd.


Summer Studio

The Summer Studio Program for sculptors, painters and printmakers who hold an undergraduate degree, is sponsored by the Department of Painting and Printmaking & Sculpture + Extended Media.


Drawing Unplugged

This hands-on studio course is designed to give a serious and structured introduction to the tools, techniques and skills needed to draw the human figure. With a live model, and working closely with the instructor, students will come away with a body of work including portraits and the figure. Drawing Unplugged runs 1 June through 13 July 2013 (6 Saturday sessions – no class on 6 July due to holiday). View the poster >
