From Creative Inspiration to Successful Implementation
The School of the Arts Research and Entrepreneurship (R&E) Office supports faculty and students across departments and programs including cross-disciplinary initiatives, with a focus on externally funded research, fostering professional growth, and promoting sustainable venture development.
Support services include identifying funding sources specific to the visual and performing arts, and design, assistance with preparation of grant proposals, workshops in research writing, business plan development, and other topics. Additional support includes the development of educational programming in entrepreneurship, and advising on product commercialization and venture creation. The R&E Office also defines collaborative opportunities with other VCU Schools and programs, external agencies and corporate partners.
