Zach Kurth-Nelson (b. 1986) is a composer of sound, light, and space. A musician by training, he finds working in a single medium to be personally problematic. Found-sound/found-video collages, animated paintings, kinetic-projection-sculpture-instruments, multi-touch digital instruments, and 3D virtual environments and games are among his constantly diversifying forms of expression. Much of his work is unified by an interest in found-object gestalts, artistic context, and content over medium.
