KI Equipment Checkout/Technology Assistant

Equipment Checkout/Technology Assistant employees are responsible for the security, operation, and upkeep of the KI equipment check-out service and the KI labs and studios. Employees will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to efficiently facilitate equipment loans and returns. Employees will utilize an online database system and will record all equipment loans and returns / activities as they occur. Equipment Services employees are responsible for routinely checking all equipment for functionality and accessories upon return. KI equipment inventory includes significant assets in the form of cameras, microphones, and other sensitive recording equipment that is available for student loan. Employees will be on-time and accessible while on-duty.
TA Employees work closely with management to operate KI facilities and assist with equipment and operations-related activities. Employees in the may be required to also perform Lab supervising duties. The TA employees are responsible for enforcing KI policies at all times and will actively and authoritatively pursue this obligation and maintain communication with management, faculty, and staff at all times.
Qualifications: All Applicants –
Must have been awarded / qualify for Federal Work Study.
Should display strong writing skills, have a positive and attentive attitude, trustworthy disposition, positive social abilities, and have strong communications skills. Applicants should be punctual, attentive at all times and must have adequate organization skills as well as attention to detail.
Should have a firm knowledge of Adobe CS and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, media production, knowledge of how audio, video, and animation equipment works, media transfer, codec and compression knowledge. Should also have proficient email capabilities, strong communication skills, creative personality and be open to change.
