Born in Maryland and raised in Northern Virginia, Sara attended VCU in the mid 1990’s when the Department of Interior Design first began teaching the application of 3D drafting. It was on this educational journey that Sara first discovered her calling as a professional dedicated to the practice of graphic and interior design.

A creative soul, Sara has channeled her artistic skills through numerous avenues since graduating from VCU. She attributes her knowledge of applying 3D drafting and rendering to interior design as the kick-off to her career and current position as an interior and graphic designer at KSA.

As part of the institutional and public design team at KSA Interiors, Sara has participated in planning and designing every element of her projects, ranging from space planning, environmental graphics, conceptual design sketches, presentation graphics and much more. She has explored her passion for interior design through various college, university, community college, and community library projects.

A small selection of these include: VCU’s newly renovated Cabell Library Learning Commons, the Midlothian Campus Science & Technology Building at John Tyler Community College, and the Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library – the latter two of these received first place Interior Design Excellence Awards at the 2010 ASID Awards Gala in September.

Not only an interior designer, Sara is an entrepreneur, avid gamer, and ice cream connoisseur. Intrigued? To learn more about her unique products, personality, and entrepreneurial efforts with her sister – visit www.softservcreations.com.
